Literature Text

There was a forest once that no sensible human being ever dared to enter. And each who had was never seen again. And there was one girl with a desire, burning at her chest, to enter, to understand what happened to those who entered. The forest in front of her seemed to be watching her, daring her to enter, luring her in. As she stepped forewords, the trees seemed to whisper to her, with a slow, low rumble, their hissing sinking into the deepest and darkest crevices of her being. Their branches, began grabbing at her soul, willing her to give into the darkness, to succumb to the evil within. They pulled at her, begging, pleading that she remain with them where it was safe. Safe from the cares of others, the stares, the judgments, everything that she hated about mankind. Already a blackness had invaded her heart, hardening into a shell around it, cutting off all feeling. Overtime, she wouldn’t be able to resist. She would have to let it win, to indulge in the demons, to dance with the devil. It was then she realized that every soul who had entered the forest had indeed disappeared, for they had become monsters.
Just a little inspiration I had from another deviant's photograph.
